Privacy and listening statistics

Optional Google Analytics 4 is connected. Playing a song, reading a poem or using a share link does not require accepting analytics. Measurement starts only after you choose to allow it. The project uses a dedicated World is One Analytics account.

Optional analytics

The site asks before loading the Google Analytics tag. If you allow it, page views, recording IDs, language, media type, listening milestones, share-button clicks and download clicks can be sent to Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses analytics cookies and processes technical request data according to its own terms. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled in the project configuration. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests keep this tracking off.

The site removes URL query strings and fragments from the page URL it sends and sends only the referrer's origin. It does not send contribution text, contact details, social handles or GitHub usernames to analytics. These measures reduce unnecessary collection; they do not make third-party analytics anonymous in every legal or technical sense. Counts reflect consenting, unblocked browsers, not every listener.

Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. Declining stops site events and removes the configured analytics cookies where the site can do so; it does not delete data already held by the provider. Visit Google’s privacy policy for its processing information.

GitHub and public contributions

The contribution form prepares a draft locally. You choose whether to open GitHub and submit it. Submitted issues, attachments, comments and your GitHub profile name are public. Keep private contact details and account tokens out of submissions. The engagement page can load public issues through GitHub’s API when you press its refresh button; GitHub receives that request. Replies, issue assignment and moderation happen on GitHub.

A contributor may voluntarily report their own public social post. The project labels this as a contributor report; it does not secretly identify visitors or verify social publication through a share button.

Other requests and storage

Public songs and videos are fetched from their indicated media hosts when the browser loads them. Those hosts and GitHub Pages receive normal web requests independently of optional analytics. Your browser keeps navigation state and your analytics preference locally. The listening interface has no account login or private analytics credentials embedded in it.

Questions or correction requests can be raised through the GitHub repository. Do not post private information in a public issue.
